Caring people, upbeat music, relevant messages and off-the-wall elements make for a very creative church worship service. New Cov's worship style is very contemporary. We use a band (guitars, keyboard, bass, drums, and horns) and worship team (four to six vocalists) to lead our congregation in praise and worship choruses.
Our goal is to honor God with music that is still relevant and understandable to the person off the street, so our music runs the gamut from rock-n-roll to ancient/future hymns. We want to move you--to get you clapping and stir your heart and to help you connect with God.
Life is full of situations - some comical, some very serious - that we can all relate to. We often use drama sketches to depict these life moments in our Sunday services. Drama is a powerful tool God can use to break down barriers and touch hearts.
In addition to drama and music, we incorporate other creative elements into our services. We have used video, dance and PowerPoint presentations. Each week at New Cov, you will hear messages based on the timeless truths of the Bible presented in a relevant, straightforward manner. Dr. Tim Johnson is our senior pastor and main speaker. You will enjoy his humorous, fresh, creative and clear communication style.
