Celebrate Recovery

#
Our Purpose

The purpose of New Covenant Community Church's "Celebrate Recovery" is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles. This experience allows us to "be changed." We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God's grace in solving our lives' problems.

By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power -- Jesus Christ.

Welcome to an AMAZING SPIRITUAL ADVENTURE!

Celebrate Recovery Small Groups CAN:

  • Provide you a safe place to share your experiences, strengths, and hopes with others who are going through a Christ-centered recovery;
  • Provide you with a leader who has gone through a similar hurt, hang-up, or habit, who will facilitate the group as it focuses on a particular principle each week. The leader will also keep Celebrate Recovery’s "five rules";
  • Provide you with the opportunity to find an accountability partner or a sponsor; and
  • Encourage you to attend other recovery meetings held throughout the week.

Celebrate Recovery Small Groups WILL NOT:

  • Attempt to offer any professional clinical advice. Our leaders are not counselors. We will provide you with a list of approved counseling referrals; and
  • Allow its members to attempt to fix one another.

When we meet

Celebrate Recovery meets every Friday evening at New Covenant Community Church:
  • 6-7 PM Pizza, Pop & Fellowship
  • 7-8 PM Large Group
  • 8-9 PM Small Groups
  • 9-9:30 PM Fellowship & Snacks

We're in room 101 -- please use the northeast door of the lower level.

Step Study Groups - Starting on Wednesday, January 20

Our Step Study groups - one group for men, one group for women. Both meet at New Covenant on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. At Step Study Groups, we work our way through the CR Participants Guides and discuss the questions at the end of each lesson. For anyone that's been wanting to work the 12 Steps, Step Study Groups are a great opportunity to work the steps and have accountability to a group of people that are also committed to doing the same.
